Escape

You are sound asleep
Upon the soft sheets,
Your face a pale shade lighter

I spent eight months
Building my walls
And watched you break it down in seconds

Now I'm thinking
That airplanes aren't enough
For me to escape my feelings

It's only a matter
Of time and chance
Before you catch up with me again
