The Day I Learned How To Swim

The day I learned how to swim was the day when I faced my fear head on. I was terrified of drowning, but I realized that letting go of the life vest was the only way to learn how to stay afloat on my own.

The day I plunged into the deep blue was the day when I truly saw its beauty. Only until I finally put on the diving mask and strapped the oxygen tank on my back did I appreciate the beautiful forms of life that I was so oblivious from.

The day I became lost at sea was the day when I actually found myself. There I was, a frail girl who never stepped into the cold water; and here I am now, slowly paddling towards the unknown without any hint of fear.
